European Union, within the nineteenth call for projects proposal of the Western Balkans Investment Framework, allocated additional EUR 1.5 million to Montenegro for the preparation of project documentation for the construction of the bypass around Budva, as a priority part of the coastal variant of the Adriatic-Ionian motorway, it is confirmed at a meeting of the Steering Committee of this instrument held today in Paris.

Montenegro's Chief negotiator with the European Union, Aleksandar Drljević, said that he expects more efficiency in work and more visible results in the rule of law, and that he will insist on concrete results, without any compromise. According to him, with establishment of the Office for European Integration in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister the coordination of the negotiation process was elevated at the level, by which the Government sent a clear message that integration into the European Union is a state priority.
